Guardian launches new lifestyle magazine

Guardian News & Media is set to launch a new lifestyle supplement for the Saturday edition of the Guardian.

The monthly magazine, ‘Do Something’ – which will first be published on 11 January – will encourage readers to “develop new skills and try new experiences”, from learning extreme sports to photography.

Each issues will include guidance and advice, Guardian writers’ and readers’ experiences, exclusive special offers and guides to the best courses in readers’ local areas.

“We continue to listen to our readers and invest in our print titles, bringing our first-rate content to them in ever-more engaging and creative platforms,” said David Pemsel, deputy chief executive.

“Our print sales remain strong which, together with our digital-first strategy, puts us in a unique position to offer brands even more exciting and innovative ways to engage our audiences.”

In November, the newspaper reported a 0.4% period on period increase in monthly print circulation, taking it to just under 200,000.

The Guardian has also announced that Sport will now have its own dedicated supplement on all days Monday – Saturday.
