Guardian To Buy The Observer

It was announced this afternoon that Lonrho has accepted an offer from The Guardian and Manchester Evening News to buy the Observer.

Chairman and chief executive of GMEN Harry Roche says about the deal; “We have given an undertaking of confidentiality to Lonrho with regard to the content of our offer”.
