Guardian Unlimited Launches Personal Finance Site

Guardian Unlimited has announced the launch of its tenth website. Money Unlimited is a personal finance site which will draw on the Guardian Group’s print supplements Jobs and Money and Cash to provide online advice and information on financial topics.
It aims to be a comprehensive site targeting both users who want general advice and those with a broad knowledge of financial markets. At its core will be Advice Bank, a one-stop shop for advice on a range of subjects from buying a home to planning for retirement.
It has partnered with MoneyWorld.co.uk to create an online resource containing data on banks, building societies and insurance companies, with which the user can compare products. An interactive calculator and directory of all financial institutions are also featured.
Marianne Curphey, editor of the site, said: “Money Unlimited’s strength lies in its ability to appeal to both the graduate looking to get out of debt and the more active private trader seeking prices for an online deal. We have taken a fresh approach to this complex area – our aim is to empower users with information relevant to their financial situation and experience, so they can dive in and benefit from the limitless services on offer.”
