Guildford’s Eagle Flies Earlier Than Planned

96.4 The Eagle, the new service replacing Radio Mercury in the Guildford area in April 1996, has reached an agreement with Radio Mercury to take over the operation much earlier than was originally planned; 96.4 The Eagle, owned by Surrey & North East Hampshire Radio Ltd, will launch on 4 September.

The station, due to its unexpected early launch has not yet released full details of its scheduling, but says that in the interim period it will play adult music and provide local news and information.

96.4 The Eagle has appointed Media Sales and Marketing to handle sales; MSM also handled the sales for Radio Mercury.
