Following the closure of Capital Radio’s sales house, Media Sales & Marketing (subscribers see Capital Restructures Sales), GWR has decided to establish its own national sales team to service its local radio brands. This sales operation is to co-locate with Classic FM in London in order to keep the sales team in close proximity to the London advertising agency marketplace.
Classic FM’s current location in Camden is not large enough to accommodate both these operations. It is planned that the sales teams will be operating from the new London location by the end of this year and Classic FM broadcasting will move by spring 1998.
