Independent Local Radio group GWR has announced profits for the six month period to March up 17.9% to £4.08m, an increase of £316,000. The improvement was aided by the fact the local sales revenue increased by 19% over the period – which countered the 6% fall in national revenue.
The group which owns a 17% stake in national radio station Classic FM, also holds a 20% stake in two separate consortium bids – London Radio Company (AM & FM bids) and London Business Radio (AM bid).
