GWR, the UK commercial radio group, has confirmed that it is pulling out of its £70m bid for Westcountry Television. Contrary to GWR Bids £70m For Westcountry , the board has reassessed its bid and has decided that GWR’s resources would be stretched too far.
The decision to pull out could lower the price for other bidders, which include HTV and Carlton Communications.
