Radio group GWR has sold three of its AM radio stations to Radio First for £730,000. They are Classic Gold 774, in Cheltenham and Gloucester; Classic Gold 1557 AM in Northampton; and Classic Gold 1332 in Peterborough.
…The separate disposal by GWR of 11% of London News Radio to Daily Mail & General Trust *GWR And Classic In £215m Merger was conditional on DMGT buying Leicester Sound from GWR. As reported on today’s Daily Mail Fails In Its Bid To Take To The Air Waves, this acquisition has been overruled by the Radio Authority. GWR however still intends to sell its LNR stake.
