London newspaper the Hampstead & Highgate Express will have Jonathan Ross switch on its new Internet site next Friday (26 September). The address of the paper’s site, which will feature material not found in the printed version, is http://www.hamhigh.co.uk. The Home Counties Newspaper Group title has teamed up with Microsoft who will give a free ‘Get On The Net’ CD ROM with every copy next Friday.
Douglas Bonn, regional managing director of Home Counties argued that the regional press must move into the Internet if it is to survive.
