Kevin Hand has stepped down from his position as PPA chairman, having last week resigned as chief executive of Emap following the company’s ill-fated US ventures (see Emap Chief Executive Resigns).
PPA chief executive Ian Locks said that the organisation had received the news “with great sadness”, adding, “In resigning, Kevin recognised that the PPA needed to be led by someone in a senior industry position.”
Sally Cartwright, the PPA’s current deputy chairman and publishing director of Hello! is to take over as acting chair until the next board meeting on 5 July.
