Havas Media picks Wright to ‘lead the charge’ on growth

Havas Media Network UK has promoted Nick Wright, managing director of Havas Entertainment, to the newly-created role of chief growth officer.

Wright will be responsible for exploring growth prospects across the agency network (Havas Media, Havas Market, and Havas Entertainment) and its clients, including partnerships and market expansion, plus the new business, lead generation, marketing and PR teams.

He will now join the Havas Media Network UK board and report into CEO of UK and Ireland Patrick Affleck. He will continue to lead Havas Entertainment until a new leader is appointed.

Wright joined Havas Media Network in 2013 as group creative director, and launched Havas Entertainment in 2021 which focusses on creative, PR and media for the world of entertainment.

Affleck said: “Growth is multidimensional today, especially for our family of brands, and that requires someone who can uniquely unlock its full potential for our clients.

“Nick’s entrepreneurial flair, exceptional leadership and innovation around media and creativity have been central to Havas Entertainment’s incredible first few years. I’m delighted to bring his creative guile, strategic vision and commercial acumen to our wider organisation and lead the charge in galvanising our collective growth agenda.”

Havas Media Group appointed a new chief transformation officer and chief operating officer earlier this year.
