The Radio Authority has awarded the ILR licence for the West Midlands to Heart FM. This is the fourth of the five regional licences to be awarded this year and is likely to begin broadcasting next September.
Heart FM, which is backed by the Crysalis Group, will provide a ‘soft adult-orientated music’ format. Heart FM beat off 12 other applicants for the licence, including Allied Radio and Buzz FM.
