The National Magazine Company today issued High Court Proceedings against IPC Magazines Ltd regarding the recent launch of the IPC title Homes & Ideas. The National Magazine Company alleges infringement of copyright and believes that substantial parts of its own title House Beautiful have been copied in Homes & Ideas.
Terry Mansfield, md of the National Magazine Company said that he believes the launch of Homes & Ideas “is beyond the boundaries of fair competition”, and that IPC’s actions could damage the magazine industry.
