HTV has launched its own Teletext Ancillary Service; viewers in the West of England will now be able to access a range of information on HTV and its programmes. HTV Teletext is found on pages 600-699. Viewers in Wales will receive individual regional pages.
The pages will feature details of forthcoming HTV programming, studio-audience ticket availability and back-up information on programmes. There is also space for community messages and public service announcements.
Jeremy Payne, Director of Programmes at HTV said: “Much of the information is programme-related but the emphasis is also on giving advice and help to people in the local community. We are anxious that viewers should know about the service; and make full use of it.”
