I Don’t Believe It – Victor Meldrew More Popular Than Queen
According to the latest CIA Sensor survey more people are looking forward to Victor Meldrew in One Foot in the Grave than the Queen’s speech.
The top 12 most looked forward to Christmas programmes are split fairly evenly between BBC1 and ITV, although BBC1 takes the top 2 positions.
When split by age, younger viewers (15-24 year olds) were looking forward most to BBC1 films (50%), ITV films (48%) and Christmas Eastenders (43%), whilst older viewer were more inclined towards the Queens Speech and the Antiques Roadshow Special (39% and 56% amongst the over 65s).Amongst 45-65 year olds the programme with the most promise was Heartbeat (40%).
The survey was carried out amongst 500 adults.
