I’m a Celebrity finale pulls in over 9.7m viewers

I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! ITV1’s I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! final attracted over 9.7 million peak viewers and a 39.3% audience share on Friday evening.

More than 9.1 million average viewers tuned into see the final three contestants battle it out before Joe Swash was crowned king of the jungle.

Meanwhile, ITV1’s all important X Factor semi-final pulled in almost 11 million peak viewers on Saturday night, with a 39.1% audience share.

The penultimate sing-off between the final four attracted 9.7 million average viewers between 7pm and 8.15pm, while over 10.3 million peak viewers tuned into the results show to see Diana Vickers dramatically exit the competition.

The British Comedy Awards, which followed on from the X Factor, got off to a good start with 4.8 million peak viewers and a 19.2% average audience share between 9.15pm and 10.45pm.

Elsewhere, BBC One’s top programme Strictly Come Dancing banked more than 10 million peak viewers this weekend.

Saturday’s show, which saw the last four contestants battle it out for a place in the semi-final next week, secured a 39.5% audience share with over 10 million peak viewers.

Meanwhile, more than 10.1 million peak viewers tuned in to see the dance off between Austin and Lisa on Sunday.
