Yet another newspaper publisher has fallen prey to the increased cost of news- print and has responded with cover price increases for two of its newspapers.
From 8th July the Saturday edition of the Daily Mail will increase its cover price by 3p to 35p; whilst from the 9th July the Mail on Sunday will increase its cover price to 75p – up 10p. Neither newspapers have been involved in the ‘price-cutting wars’.
Both newspaper have shown relatively stagnant circulation growth over the past 6 months – See Press Planner for full circulation details.
NB. The National Newspapers June ABC figures will be out on 14th July.
