A further two of the country’s 21 independent local radio stations have renewed their sound broadcasting contracts with the Independent Radio and Television Commission (IRTC).
The renewed contracts provide Galway Bay FM, which broadcasts to Galway City and County, and LM FM, which broadcasts to counties Louth and Meath, a further seven years of transmission.
This brings to five the number of stations which have had their contracts renewed. Further renewals will take place over the coming months.
