As a result of promotional tokens in the Independent on Sunday (10p off) the Monday editions of The Independent since 27th November have seen a 5% increase in circulation. Last Monday (3/12), with the addition of the new ‘Sport’ section the paper managed to increase sales by 7% – 2% above the token only increases.
The Monday edition of the paper now sells around 290,000 copies, an increase of around 20,000 copies on the average Monday prior to the promotion.
