Sunday 13th August saw the launch of the revamped Independent on Sunday. The most noticeable change is the new broadsheet supplement, Real Life, and the business section which now has pink pages.
Real Life takes a broadsheet form and is “A lively and exciting section on how we live, love, shop, dress, work and play.” according to the Independent on Sunday.
In this, the first issue of Real Life, there is an article on singles bars, fashion, relationships and body shape paranoia. Headlines are in pink and blue and there are many small snippets of information on each page. There are 16 pages of Real Life, and there is just one small advertisement for the AA.
In the latest round of ABCs, for July, the Independent on Sunday fares well compared to last year, up 4% to 325,784. However, this is lower than it has been for a while, with its monthly figures over 330,000 since March this year.
