Inflation At 2.1%
Inflation for May stood at 2.1%, well below the Government’s target of 2.5%, according to data released by the Office of National Statistics this morning. The Retail Prices Index for May stood at 165.6; this is a 0.2% increase on April 1999 and a 1.3% increase on May last year.
