“Instantly shoppable”: LOOK’s print edition goes interactive

Fashion magazine LOOK is to publish its first “instantly shoppable” and “fully interactive” print issue, allowing readers the chance to buy directly from the page.

In what is a first for the magazine, there will be three ways to shop, including ‘Blip to buy’ from the print version, ‘Tap to buy’ from the digital version and via the website’s online ‘pop-up’ shop.

Any page in the print edition that has a Blippar ‘B’ logo will become interactive when used with the Blippar app, allowing readers to buy products or watch short videos.

“The LOOK team are incredibly excited about our first interactive shoppable issue,” said editor Ali Hall.

“Combining traditional print with new technology, readers can shop, share and watch like never before via their smartphone or tablet. With greater engagement and shareable content, we are meeting the demands of the tech savvy shopper and we can’t wait to see the results.”

LOOK joins Essentials magazine in offering interactive pages in print. In September the women’s lifestyle glossy announced it would allow readers to become a ‘cover star’ by using the same Blippar app.

The interactive print issue of LOOK is priced at 99p.
