Internet Service Provider League Table Published

CompuServe, AOL, and Microsoft Network have this month increased the gap between their online service subscriber numbers and those of the 12 other companies who account for most of the UK Internet service provider market, according to data published by EMAP Online’s Internet Marketing Hot List. This coincides with the launch this week of the BT/Newscorp LineOne Internet service.

The Hot List’s ISP Subscriber League Table provides a consensual view, as taken by a range of industry sources, of the various companies’ total numbers of live, paying dial-up subscribers. It does not include the 5,000-10,000 trial users of Virgin.Net, which is due to be launched as a paid-for service in April.
