IPA Relaunches MediaTel-Designed Website
The Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA) has this week relaunched its website at www.ipa.co.uk. The site, which is designed and hosted by MediaTel Net, provides IPA members and guests with access to information about the Institute’s activities, services and publications.
The IPA represents the interests of advertising agencies to the Government, media owners and unions, as well as setting industry standards and running award schemes such as the IPA Advertising Effectiveness Awards, now in their twentieth year.
Users are able to purchase the IPA’s publications and reports directly from the site. IPA members also receive access to further areas of the site including the discussion forum and the IPA services.
Mark Rasdall, director of information systems at the IPA, says: “We have learnt a lot of lessons from the original site, which went live in February 1996. The new site is a lot more interactive, offers more to non-members, and is the primary communications medium for the IPA as we move more and more towards complete e-communications.”
The ipa.co.uk site has been developed by MediaTel and the IPA to use the latest Flash technology, offering a fully-animated, easily navigated website.
