IPC Doubles Its Forces

IPC announced this week that it is doubling its display ad staff, in an effort to restructure its music & sports group.

The group is being split into three sales teams: music and lifestyle, sport and a group sales team, which will liase with large agencies working on consumer business. Two new ad directors will also be appointed.

Group ad director Nick Taylor commented: “This restructure will arm us further to develop our positions within these areas with our sales staff becoming core specialists in their subjects. This will then enable them to offer an increased consistent, high quality service to our advertisers.”

The latest ABC figures show serious declines in circulation of the majority of IPC’s titles since the group came under new management (see Newsline).
