IPC Electric Forms Commercial And Marketing Teams

IPC Electric, the new online trading division formed by IPC Magazines, has begun putting together its commercial and marketing teams with a series of new appointments.

Nick Wakefield joins from Associated Newspapers as sales manager. He will be responsible for all IPC Electric revenue streams, including advertising, sponsorship and e-commerce. Capital Interactive’s Justin Leo has been appointed as business development manager. Cathy Bryan will work alongside Leo as development manager and Alison Thomas joins as senior marketing manager from Vauxhall.

IPC is spending £25 million on the IPC Electric network (see IPC Electric Is Unveiled), the first fruit of which will be a network of e-commerce-enabled websites targeting women. Further projects will be based around music, lads, home interest, leisure and sport.
