IPC Ignite, the men’s lifestyle and entertainment division of IPC Media, has appointed Kevin Heery as head of its online operations.
Heery will be responsible for implementing IPC Ignite’s entire internet strategy and will work to develop commercial partnerships with third parties. He will also manage the online team to deliver revenue from internal projects.
He will report directly to publishing director of IPC Ignite’s music titles, Neil Robinson, who said: “Kevin has been integral to leading NME.com’s progress over the last three years and has been responsible for overall project management for two extremely successful redesigns. He has built a first class team, which I am sure he will lead onto further success.”
In his previous role as technical and production manager of NME.com, Heery was responsible for integrating many new third party revenue businesses into the music website, as well as working closely with Time.inc to integrate ad serving and hosting facilities across IPC.
IPC Ignite recently announced plans to close its monthly Muzik magazine following a drop in circulation and a decline in the popularity of dance music in the charts (see IPC Ignite Pulls The Plug On Muzik Magazine).
