IPC Launch Women’s Weekly
The IPC Weeklies Group has announced the company’s biggest magazine launch in eight years with the publication of Now tomorrow.
Supported by a £3 million campaign the title will be glossy and upmarket, cost 60p and have an initial print-run of 1.2 million. The first issue will have a special price of 30p. Editorially, Now will cover celebrity news as well as featuring more in-depth real life articles.
IPC say that the magazine is the result of almost a year of intensive research and development and believes it will offer readers something completely different to existing titles. Ads will run on national TV and there will be an extensive campaign in IPC’s women’s weekly, monthly and listings titles.
Now enters an expanding market place and will compete with titles such as Hello, OK and Here!, which was launched by G+J in June (subscribers click Here! First Issue Review for review).
IPC stress that the magazine has nothing to do with its title of the same name which closed in April last year after a lifespan of only twelve months.
A full review of Now will appear on Newsline tomorrow.
