IPC Media Anticipates 20% Growth In 2000

IPC Media said it expected a 20% increase in its operating profits for this year, after announcing quarterly pre-tax profits of £4.8m. The consumer magazines group said advertising revenues rose almost 10% in the third quarter of 2000.

Total revenues for the three months to June 30 were £94 million, a 2.8% increase on the same period last year. Underlying profits were £19.6m, a rise of £3.6m.
