… IPC is to halve the price of Family Circle to 50p for its February issue, to encourage consumers to buy the revamped title, which goes on sale on January 22.
Sandy Gale, publishing director, said “Following an ongoing programme of consumer research throughout 1995, the new look has been developed to change outdated perceptions of the brand. The regular mix of health, beauty, fashion food and home is enhanced by the addition of more in-depth feature material, all packaged in a vibrant new design. The price promotion will be supported by an advertising campaign in the national and women’s press, featuring the line, “and you thought we just made cakes.”
… IPC’s Shooting Times is giving away a £36,000 shotgun in issues over the next 12 weeks.
