IPC Shopping Survey Aids Advertisers

Publisher of Woman’s Own and Woman’s Weekly, IPC magazines is planning to run a ‘shopper’s survey’ during July and August to examine reader attitudes to advertising areas such as holidays and motoring.

Each questionnaire will be inserted into 250,000 issues across 15 of the company’s titles, but it has yet to be decided which magazines will be targeted. A spokesperson at IPC confirmed to MediaTel this morning that the study would be split into weeklies (beginning July) and monthlies (August) with results emerging six to eight weeks after collation.

A full report will be available to advertisers in cross-tabulation format similar to TGI data. Generalised results from the survey will be mailed out to a cross-section when the analysis is complete.
