IPC Southbank Undergoes Restructure

IPC Magazines has announced the restructure of its IPC Southbank group to provide a greater focus for its fashion and beauty titles. The move follows a major repositioning within the publisher’s marketing activities which aims at aligning the group’s publications within key sectors (see Appointments Brief).

Julie Capstick, publisher of Woman’s Journal and Wedding and Home is to become publisher of 19 and Hair, as well as Woman’s Journal. Wedding and Home will move into the Lifestyle portfolio under Sue James.

Colin Reeves-Smith, managing director of the division, said: “The move of Wedding and Home and Mizz to their new respective portfolios allows publishing director Rita Lewis and her team to concentrate their efforts in developing the fashion and beauty portfolio to the full. The recent launch of Nova reflects how innovative this market is, and how much can be gained by having a team that has a real focus on a specific market sector.”
