IPC’s monthly film and music magazine Uncut is launching a promotional campaign to coincide with a series of special editions featuring covermounted CDs.
The special editions will go on sale in March and April and will be supported by BBC Radio 2, Virgin and Capital Gold, which will play on-air promotions in the lead up to the respective on-sale dates of each edition.
The March edition will feature David Bowie on the cover, with a special holographic Uncut foil logo. It will also include a cover-mounted Bowie tribute CD, featuring cover versions of famous Bowie hits.
The April edition of the magazine will include split covers featuring Bruce Springsteen and will also be covermounted with a special tribute CD.
Niall McKinney, marketing director of IPC Ignite, commented: “Uncut will be delivering further growth into our next round of ABC results and that is because it has always given its readers exactly what they want. Our 2003 reader survey confirmed our readers cant get enough of the mix of iconic rock stars, new music and latest film and DVD releases. This proved that Uncut delivers the elusive upmarket male more efficiently and in greater numbers than traditional men’s press.”
