IPC TV Campaign For Woman & Womans Own

Publishing director of Woman’s Own, Chris Boyd, is leading a new television campaign to increase the readership of his title, as well as Woman magazine, both of which have seen fallen sales over the past couple of years.

The TV campaign, already on the air in Tyne Tees and Granada regions, aims to compete with similar campaigns run by German publishers, Gruner & Jahr, for Bella and Best magazines, who increased their television promotions when sales went into decline last year.

If the outcome of the test campaigns is favourable, IPC intends to increase promotions for the two women’s titles in 1994.
