Ireland Radio Listening
According to the latest JNLR report independent local radio stations continue to lead the national listenership figures with 50% of all listeners. The figures indicate which radio stations were listened to yesterday over the period Oct 93-Mar 94. Figures for the national stations were 41% for RTE Radio 1 and 27% for 2FM. In Dublin Classic Hits 98FM came in at 27% and FM 104 at 21%.

Classic FM is to launch its new Dutch radio station tomorrow. The programme content will be similar to the UK, except for evening, overnight and weekend programming which will broaden out into jazz, as specified in the licence. The station is looking for a 2-3% share of radio listening in the Netherlands
