Irish Times Profits

The Irish Times has announced a profit of £IR3.6m for its trading year 1989. The increase is mainly attributed to a large increase in property and appointment advertising.

Hot Press, Ireland’s long established music publication with a circulation of 19,000, has appointed Newspaper Representations (071-831 8864) to handle UK advertising sales.

The National Newspapers of Ireland has announced an awards scheme to promote creativity in Irish press advertising.

Century Radio On Satellite

Century Radio, Ireland’s leading independent radio station, has joined the Satellite Media Services Network. This allows for copy and news distribution to be sent by satellite to Ireland. Century are the first Irish radio station to join this system. Century Contact: Paul Davis – 071-388 6801

RTE Sales Chief Retires
