IRTC Shortlists Applicants For New Dublin Stations

The Independent Radio and Television Commission (IRTC) in Ireland has shortlisted a number of radio stations for the new licences to be provided in the Dublin area. The applications cover five different programming categories, with different stations shortlisted in each category.

In the 15-34 Youth-Oriented category, Pulse FM, Storm FM, Red 106FM and Spin FM are shortlisted. Lite FM, Easy FM, Gold FM and Sunshine FM are shortlisted for the Music Driven Service (35+ audience); Spirit FM and RFI-Dublin are contending for the Special Interest licence and News Talk 106FM is the only station shortlisted for the Speech Driven category.

The licences will be awarded by the IRTC on 11 October at the Commission’s Board meeting.
