ITC Announces Senior Appointments

The ITC has announced the appointment of Steve Perkins as controller of advertising and programming standards and Martin Hart as controller of advertising and programming policy within its newly merged Advertising and Programmes Group.

Perkins, previously head of the ITC’s factual programming department, takes up the new position with immediate effect and will lead a team of staff with responsibility for the enforcement of programming and advertising codes, complaints and the assessment of public service broadcasting requirements.

Hart, previously head of sponsorship at the ITC, will take on responsibility for advertising policy, licensee statements and licensee requirements in his new role, which begins immediately. He will also oversee advertising scheduling and programming statistics and will work alongside the ITC’s policy group taking care of European and Government relations.

Both Perkins and Hart will report to director of advertising and programmes, Sarah Thane and deputy director, Ian Blair.
