Eve Salomon has been appointed to the position of deputy secretary at the Independent Television Commission. She replaces Anthony Hewitt who becomes deputy director within the new Programmes and Cable Division.
Ms Salomon is currently senior sponsorship and advertising officer for the ITC and will take up her new position on 16 September. Her responsibilities will include the interpretation and application of the new ownership rules contained in the Broadcasting Act 1996, especially the public interest test.
