The Independent Television Commission has awarded a local cable delivery franchise for North Wales and South Cheshire to Metro Communications Limited, a company owned by Metro Cable TV Limited.
The Dumfries and Galloway local delivery franchise was awarded to Galloway Cable and Telecoms Limited, and the Consett and Stanley franchise to Telewest (North East) Limited. No other applications were put forward for either of these two local delivery franchises.
