The ITC has awarded the local delivery licence for the Blackpool and Flyde area to Cable Communications Fylde and Wyre, the only applicant. Cable Communications Fylde and Wyre is a subsidiary of SBC Cablecomms (UK) which also owns the companies holding the cable franchises for South Liverpool, Central Lancashire, Wigan, St Helens and Knowsley and Liverpool. The cash bid submitted was £762,000.
