The ITC has awarded the Central Cumbria local delivery franchise licence to Central Cumbria Cable & Telecoms Ltd. A bid of £7756.98 was made and Central Cumbria Cable & Telecoms are committed to provide 70,518 homes by the year 2002.
The ITC is also inviting applications for the local delivery franchises of Thanet and Canterbury and the Isle of Wight. The delivery licence for Thanet and Canterbury will reach approximately 115,000 homes. The Isle of Wight licence covers approximately 51,000 homes.
Annual cash bids must be specified by applicants which must reach the ITC by 12pm on January 13 1997. Full details are available from the ITC.
