ITC Launches New Promotions

ITC Launches New Promotions

The ITC is today launching two new television promotions; they will be shown in promotional air-time, and will illustrate different aspects of programme regulation.

They join the three existing 30-second commercials which have been appearing on ITV, Channel 4, GMTV, BSkyB and other cable and satellite channels since 1992. The new commercials will receive full national screenings this week.

The purpose of the campaign is to draw attention to the ITC’s key roles, that of regulator of all programmes and advertising on commercial television. One of the two new commercials illustrates one of the most complained about areas of viewer concern – bad language. The other deals with undue prominence of commercial products. Existing commercials deal with taste and decency and misleadingness in advertising.

The creative work for all the commercials in the campaign was by Duckworth Finn Grubb Waters. ITC: 071 255 3000
