ITC Receives Application For South Cumbria Cable Licence
The Independent Television Commission has received one application for the local cable delivery franchise for South Cumbria. South Cumbria Cable & Telecoms, a company backed by the US Cable Corporation, proposes to offer service to 61,500 homes in the area by the end of 2002. The company offered a bid of £21,525. The ITC will now consider the plan being offered and hopes to make its decision by the summer.
