ITV Alters Programme Launches/Schedules

ITV Alters Programme Launches/Schedules

From next season, ITV will alter its programme launches and schedules. The current system of one written schedule is to be abandoned because of constant changes, rendering it out of date. The data will be available on Donovan Data Services from this winter where it will be updated every few weeks.

There will also be changes in how the schedule is launched; instead of a long major session, presentations will be informal, shorter, showing summaries of programmes, and any agency wishing to view the full length programme will be invited to the Network Centre. In addition to these three seasonal presentations, (Autumn, Winter and Spring/Summer), ITV is considering holding more genre presentations on specific subjects such as those already held on sport and children’s programmes.

The new launch for Winter, featuring programmes from January 1994 will take place in the week beginning November 8.
