ITV has appointed Chad Wollen, formerly of AOL Europe and Yahoo!, to the new position of director of marketing strategy.
Reporting to David Pemsel, group marketing director, Wollen will front the development of the marketing and brand planning strategy.
He has the key responsibility of embedding audience understanding into ITV’s marketing planning and brand activity as well as working across the portfolio of businesses of ITV’s consumer, broadcasting and global content divisions.
Pemsel said: “We are delighted to welcome Chad on board. He brings with him a fantastic blend of experience that will be crucial in better informing us how we can become smarter and more in-touch with our viewers through marketing strategy.”
Wollen most recently worked as director of insight, foresight & media innovation at AOL Europe.
Prior to that he was head of marketing & strategy and part of the European leadership team at Yahoo! Mobile Europe and associate director at The Henley Centre.
