ITV Approaches Newspapers For Remaining Game Shows

ITV, looking for sponsors for three of its networked game shows, has approached all of the national newspapers. Valued together at over £3 million, The Midas Touch, The Price is Right and Family Fortunes are the only ITV Network prime-time game shows who do not currently have existing newspaper sponsors.

The game shows will be sold individually or as a package; the deadline for the bidding is 12 noon on Friday 7 April.

Current newspaper sponsors of game shows are The Daily Star with Pot of Gold, and the Sun with both Lucky Numbers and Play Your Cards Right. In the last 12 months the Sun has also sponsored the Wheel of Fortune and the Daily Mirror has sponsored You Bet, Take Your Pick and Strike it Lucky.
