ITV Chiefs Talk On Ratings
A top level conference of ITV chiefs has been held to thrash out a new strategy to halt the slide in the TV ratings against the BBC and Channel 4, according to the Independent today.
The meeting was held in Belfast last month to dicuss how to bring forward a range of new popular programming. Some programmes are to be made especially for this autumn and big Hollywood films are expected to be shown to try to strengthen weak areas of the schedule.
ITV’s share of peak time audiences has fallen from 42.7% in January/May 1994 to the current 40.6%.
