ITV Claims 100% Victory In Peaktime Viewing

Despite losing Christmas Day to the BBC, ITV is claiming a 100% record of winning every week in peaktime across 1994.

In w/e 25/12 ITV’s peaktime share was 40.6%, compared to 39.1% for BBC1, and overnight estimates for the final week of 1994 give ITV a 2% lead over BBC1 – 40% to 38%.
