Leslie Hill, chairman of the ITV Network since 1994, has announced that he will retire from his role at the end of this month.
Commenting on his decision to leave, Hill said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my eight years in the role but the approach of the new Communications Bill means that this is an appropriate time for me to move on.”
The role of ITV Network Chairman will be discontinued after Hill’s departure. Instead, Donald Emslie, chief executive of SMG Television, will become chairman of ITV Council.
